From 15 to 19 June, the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre hosted Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s largest international exhibitions in the field of defence and security.

Its main distinguishing feature compared to all previous editions was the active participation of Ukrainian defence manufacturers. Among the nearly 80 manufacturing companies from Ukraine, the DANCER 4.5.0 interceptor drone, designed to track high-speed kamikaze drones, proved to be a real ‘magnet’ for military personnel and security professionals from around the world.

This battle-proven solution, with a record operating speed of 450 km/h, developed by the in-house R&D centre of the Ukrainian company YARTURA, captured visitors’ attention not only with its effectiveness but also with its unique, creative concept, developed by the renowned Kyiv-based agency Vandog Agency, which already has a RED DOT international design award to its credit.
 

Nadine Omelchenko, founder of YARTURA, shares her impressions of Eurosatory 2026:

”Events of this calibre are not just, or even primarily, about direct sales. Above all, they offer a unique snapshot of the global market.

How prepared is the world for actual combat operations? What is the cost of defence strategies in different countries? What new technologies and types of weaponry will be effective in a year, two or three? 

All of this is covered in the business programme and at the exhibition stands.

Of particular interest to everyone are investment proposals, grants and technology hackathons organised by governments.

Interestingly, there is also active discussion on the topic of women’s leadership in the mil-tech sector, as well as the issue of engineering education, which, as we have seen, is a cornerstone for all European countries due to the demographic crisis.

In other words, what we have been supporting and developing in Ukraine for over 10 years is becoming particularly relevant for the whole of Europe right now.”

DANCER 4.5.0 has been successfully defending Ukraine’s airspace since April 2026 and was given its name due to the similarity between its flight path when re-acquiring a target and a dance – the Ukrainian combat hopak.

It is precisely this idea that has been incorporated into the visual identity of the aircraft’s livery, which resembles aviation camouflage incorporating key elements of the dance. 

And although all known interceptor drones are, by their very nature, single-mission aircraft designed to engage high-speed enemy strike UAVs of the ‘wing’ type – which bring death to Ukrainian civilian cities almost every night – the DANCER 4.5.0 is designed to carry out its mission not only effectively, but also gracefully.

Oleg Bukarenko, director of YARTURA, explains:

 

”Over the five working days of the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition, more than 20 potential customers from around the world – from South Korea and Japan to the US and Canada – expressed interest in our solutions. We signed an NDA with representatives of an Indian defence company and continued discussions on potential cooperation – right there at our stand.

There were also many technical questions from engineers and military personnel. They were interested in the system’s deployment speed, compliance with NATO standards, reliance on critical components, and the potential for integrating automated air defence systems into existing military systems. In other words, a fairly standard list of questions for any potential customer. 

We also frequently receive enquiries regarding so-called ‘private air defence’ requirements, which we successfully address.”

This year’s Eurosatory also served as an effective platform for YARTURA to strengthen its cooperation with existing and potential suppliers.

And that’s hardly surprising when you’re holding a ‘combat beauty’ like the DANCER 4.5.0 in your hands – a machine in whose creation both your own labour and components have gone.

Another major milestone for the company was gaining membership of ‘ARMADA’, the industry association for manufacturers of unmanned systems and related technologies, a symbolic event that took place in the halls of Eurosatory 2026.

This step, together with the potential of the UKRAINIAN ARMS COUNCIL, the Brave1 cluster and the Ukrainian Government’s new Drone Deal programme, opens up even more opportunities for YARTURA to scale up and operate effectively, both in defending Ukraine’s airspace and in a whole range of export opportunities.
